The hotel is built on the site of the former university library and therefore has a unique space within the city center of Munich.
Although the building is modern compared to most other buildings in the neighborhood the architect managed to work with luxurious materials and elegant forms giving the hotels the look it needs to be a top class hotel.
The hotels comes with an extended 800 m2 spa area that boasts a 15 by 8 meter indoor pool, a gym and several spa facilities like a Sauna, a steam bath, 5 treatment rooms and relaxation areas.
The rooms here are equipped with the latest technology and all rooms and suites modern and spacious. The presidential suite can be combined with three other suites to create 455m² of private space occupying the entire floor.
Sophia's restaurant & bar is the gastronomic home of Head Chef Michael Hüsken and Food 7 Beferage director Viktoria Schünemann. He works with specialist a butcher and fishermen to create a well balanced menu supported by vegetables, fruits, spices and herbs. The recently renewed cocktail bar is a true hotspot in Munich and the entrance is just to the right of The Charles Hotel.
